Auto to Manual Hubs
there is a guy with a 95 f250 and it has warn manual hubs on it..i have a 97 f350 with auto hubs..he told me i could buy them for $25! how hard is it to swap them out? i have heard about a special nut kit but wont his already have all that on them?

not hard. you should use the proper socket. maybe 30 minutes a side if you have never done it before. may as well inspect and repack your bearings while you are in there. there is a thread on here somewhere with great photos, but the search function blows and i can't find it.

Make sure you get the nut kit too because they're different from auto to manual.

I changed mine last weekend it took about 2 hours but that was only because one of my auto hubs actually came apart inside the hub and I had to replace bearings and races as well as clean the metal out of everything. A straight swap should only take 30 minutes per side. Here is what I used as a reference. The nut kit was around $40 from advanced.
