Oh yeah! Straight pipe!

Found the time to get the girl into the shop today to kill the kitty.
Ended up just straight piping it all the way back. It's only 3" but I recon it's gotta flow better then the 200k mile cat. It sounds good! I've been rolling thru town w my p side window down in freezing temps just to hear that turbo whine

While it was on the lift I was looking at that pancake of a down pipe.
When y'all talk about splitting the firewall are y'all talking about doing it from umderneath the truck or straight back behind the motor or what? I'm going to order one in the next week and hopefully get er in with out much headache?

Anyway, she's running waaaaaay better now and she sounds really good too

Oh and it only set me back $40 and he kept the scrap.

Well stock is 3.5 inch, but yeah I rode with my pass side rear window open a few days after my 4" straight pipe install, and with the down pipe install there is a pinch weld on the firewall bout half way up you need to remove that where the pipe will fit through

So do you get after that pinch weld from the top or the bottom?
Yeah stock is 3.5" but we do what we can w what we have out here in the middle of BFE.
They flared the 3" so it seated up inside the stock tail section and the flange on te front side of the cat and welded it. Ill get a 4" at some point soon. This was as much of a test as anything in my quest to find my throttle.

How I feel everytime I drive my truck with the 4"DP, 5" straight to a turndown before the rear axle... But really its because all you hear till about 2600rpms is whistle...
