Rear Axles
I have a 97 f250 4x4. I had 2 questions. First one: What spline axles did these come with? and 2: Did these trucks come with an open rear? I had the truck jacked up the other day to rotate tires and I wanted to check and when I spun the rear wheel the other did not spin with it. I know that is usually the sign of an open rear. If so, what is a good affordable posi unit. The truck does not see any offroading.

Check the door sticker, it should have a 2 digit code under "axle", post it up here and we can tell you for sure what gears you have and if it is a limited slip from the factory.

The 2 digit code is 35. Thanks in advance.

Then it is a #6250 capacity 4.10 ratio open carrier.
