If you are getting low boost, check...
If you are getting low boost like a max of 14 pounds in 5th gear at 3200 rpms, check the o ring between the turbo and the black y pipe that goes into the intake manifold. I was having a had time getting 14 pounds of boost. so i checked that o ring and 90 percent of it was missing... once i replaced it, i am getting an easy 18 pounds of boost. and then when i have in 5th doing a hundred mph and have the motor round 3200 i am pushing 20 to 22 pounds on stock turbo...

Glad you got it figured out. I was having low boost at the gauge, not the turbo. Turned out to be a loose fitting on the line that goes to the gauge. Tightened it up and boost reads like normal. Feels good when you finally realize what the problem is and it's an easy fix.

Just for clarification, you may want to check.
You should see no less than 15psi in 3rd gear WOT @ 3k rpms. |
