First PSD

So since I was 16 I always wanted a 97 ext long bed Powerstroke and so I started with a lowered ranger and traded and sold and so on and I'm now 18 and have been threw about 10 vehicles and I finally got my dream truck. A 96 f250 ext can long bed. But when I got it it wasn't starting in the cold(40-50) weather so people told me alternater and batteries changed those nothing happened so I took it to a diesel mechanic to diagnose my issue. He told me glow plugs glow plugs relay the cord to the heater core was bad and the front end needed rebuilt so I started I got the alt on and batteries and lastnight got my glow plugs in took me awhile due to losing some bolts but I finally got it done and left it sitting over night without being plugged in and went out to start it this morning, fired right up without a problem extremely proud! Lookin for other people's story on how their diesel addiction came to life!

gotta love the powerstroke. i have been active in the fire service as a volunteer for over 10 years. i came to know the 7.3 very well and they get abused day in and day out sometimes with not being warmed up etc and rarely would let us down. ive always had trucks but not a "real" truck, 3/4 or 1 ton until about 3 years ago when i came upon an opportunity to start my own business so i found a nice 01 powerstroke and every since i wont buy anything else. im on my 3rd powerstroke now and absolutly have zero complaints.

currently driving a 335i bmw, no more powerstoke

Previous powerstrokes-
2002- F250 XL 7.3 auto, 4x4
2001- F250 Lariat 7.3 auto, 4x4
2002- F350 Lariat 7.3 Dually, auto, 4x4. 141k miles
