Need help with trade
ok first off i know this is the powerstroke section but the IDI section is a ghost town so i figured id come here for some help.. ok i have owned several powerstrokes but never an IDI..there is a guy who wants to trade me his 91 f350 centurion edition. with the banks turbo. it has 189k miles and i drove it today and it runs and drives great. AC still works and everything..i just have some questions..what trans is in these trucks? the OD button is on the dash under the gauges..there is also a HI and LO switch on the actual shifter..i have never seen one before so i have no idea what it is..if i did trade i would be the 3rd owner..the first owner was an old man who hauled his camper and parked it in the garage and after he passed his wife sold it to the owner now..my truck is a lifted 93 f150 with 177k miles 4x4 lifted 7 inches in mint condition....let me know some more about this IDI

i use to have a 94 idi with the banks sidewinder kit, wasnt a bad setup however not as powerful as a stock 7.3 powerstroke, it was close but not quite as powerful. all and all the idi isnt a bad motor for what it is, i think the only issue i ever had with mine was a leaking rubber fuel line that had a bunch of pin holes in it other than that i owned it for 30k miles and never had a complaint. mine had 270k miles on it but ran perfect. a buddy of mine has a centurion edition 97 and i guess its pretty rare only 1xx some made so it might be a pretty rare setup. post up some pics of it.

iirc the 91 had a c6 trans, shouldnt have OD at all, take a look under it sounds like an aftermarket over drive has been added to this rig, i have an 86 with an auto and no overdrive at all, the e4od came in the 95+ and do you have any piks of this truck? sounds like a cool trade, good luck that idi runs like a freight train, not the fastest thing in the world but it will haul the mail efficiently lol, sorry i dont know a whole bunch about IDI's but they are relativly easy with no computer to control anything

yeah its got the E4OD..they came out in 89 i believe..here is a pic of it..i love the old school feel it has..the guy im trading said the son of the older man told him the odometer rolled over since it only has 5 digits..but man this thing would be a gold mine if it had 89k original miles..and i wouldnt question it..knowing the old man only towed his camper with it and then it sat in the garage..and the guy im getting it from only used to it to tow his camper to the auburn football games..but hey its a long shot but it would be crazy cool

also the guy who owns it now was told that the banks turbo came stock with the centurion kit...i dont know anything about the "centurion"..is it just a looks package? like a king ranch or lariat nowadays?

the OD button from 89-91 was on the dash on the early E4OD...spent all night at work researching it..definatly dont want a C6..fuel cost wayy too much

yeah im not that familiar when the e4od came out, but that is a great lookin rig there, and yes the centurion package is almost like a king ranch deal but a little more upgraded and what not, they just add some lights make it flashy, and sell it with a higher sticker, its like a king ranch nowadays with a programmer too
