Question Transmission Type?

What type of transmission came stock on a 1997 f250 7.3L automatic? I thought it was E40D but the guy at Napa said it was a R4100. Thanks!

it is the E4OD, later on they came with the 4R100 from like 99-03

it is an e4od, kause the guy at nappa didnt ask you a motor type, the 97 light duty f250 had the 4r100 iirc, and those have a 7 lug rear axle not 8, with a gvwr under 8500
