Replacing Engine Oil Cooler

Anyone recommend a brand or website to buy the engine oil cooler for a 97 7.3L? It is leaking bad... Had oild all over the bottom of my truck and some made it on to my boat when I was towing it.

Most guys just replace the 4 large o rings and the two gaskets after pulling the cooler . The kit is around 70 bucks as opposed to 300.00 for complete cooler .You'll need to drain coolant and oil filter to remove cooler. It's not to bad a job, just a little messy .

When would you need to replace the whole oil cooler?

Not very often, maybe if you had some kind of damage and trash go through the oil system and were rebuilding the motor. The tube & shell type coolers are not that bad to clean out. Cheers!
