Anyone running an iphone scanguage-like app?

I just saw some of the guys over on the tuner forums were using these instead of the scanguage. Anyone using it for their p-stroke and if so what app/wifi device?

Also lets go over the pros/cons. What wont it read that a scangauge will? I have automoter boost/empty/egt gauges on the column and WVO oil temp/fuel pressure/coolant temp on the dash so kinda running out of space for gauges. Would like something that monitors tranny temp, fuel consumption and reads engine codes so I can use that last space for a fuel gauge on the WVO tank.

i think diesel power did a write up on the review of that tool, buy the part hook to obd 2 and down load the app, not sure what all it does, but does check and clear codes which is nifty

It's called DashBoss and a few of the guys here are running them LilPooh and Dever02 are 2 that I know of. It's a pretty good idea, but seems like a pain in the butt, should your phone ever crap out, or get lost or the battery dies and you don't have a car charger etc.

Yeah thatd help. I mostly want to know what the program reads and if there are settings for warnings. I dont need to constanty be lookin at a tranny temp gauge. Just need to know if its hittin 200. All the other gauges i run dont have factory sensors so might as well have only one display for all factory sensors.

had to go lookin, i got a diesel power mag in every room of my house lol but it is in the february 2012 issue vol 8 no 2 pg 142 cost $169.99read and clear codes, can monitor engine rpm, mph, coolant temp, intake temp, ambient air temp, commanded egr %, and several other things, all in real time, and you can set alarms to go off things get toasty and you can date log any parameters or test and email them to someone

product is from dashboss.com, btw i paraphrased DPmag on that stuff incase anyone wants to call the citation police on me lol

thing actually uses gps for your speed if you have coverage so that call tell if your speedo is off too lol

I'm really interested in this now, too bad I left all my diesel powers at college and I'm home now, does it tell mpg too?

the thing didnt say that much, just reads pcm data and gps for mpg, i dont see why it couldnt read mpg tho, but hell thats easy enough to hand calculate anyway, especially if your using your iphone as a gauge anyway has a calculater built in lol
