Do I really need this stuff?
After putting new injectors and GP's in my truck is awesome. It's a 1995 F350 with a 7.3 and 188000 miles on it. I'm going to be using it for towing. It's been suggested I also put this other stuff on it.
4" MagnaFlow Universal Cat convertor, 4" Turbo back aluminized, International Bellowed Uppipe Kit, Turbo supply Y-pipe, I can understand why replacing the Cat. but do I really need the other stuff? |

Unless you have emissions tests you don't even need the cat or muffler

No I don't need admission tests. I was just being told that the stock downpipe is scwished at a point so it wouldn't hit the firewall and to make the truck run better I would need to put this 4" downpipe on it. They told me the Cat is probably cloged up and restrickting exahast flow and would be best to replace it.

Thanks for the heads up BIGFUEL. I did c hange over to a BullyDog cold intake. Y-pipe is not damaged but the donuts are leaking and that's why I was told the International bellowed up pipes were better then what I have. You are right about spendy. Up pipe kit$850.00, Y-pipe $180.00, labor $822.00. will leaving the Cat I have on the truck do any damage?

I see by the estimate that the Diamond Eye 4" Cat $ 435.00 is more expensive then a 4" magna Flow $261.00.

I don't know where you are finding a MagnaFlow for a diesel for $261. I can only find them for the cheapest at $515 and that doesn't have the downpipe. 15939 Magnaflow XL Performance Exhaust [EDIT] the kit listed above is the only kit the MagnaFlow sells for the OBS Ford.
