Tranny swap

I got an auto tranny in my 96.5 stroke and my buddy has a manual 97.
Can we swap transmissions? What's it take?

best way to tackle this is line them up side by side drop one trans pull it out, drop the other and get to it.

can be done, just a lot of time to swap both.. good bit of odds and ends you will have to swap between each other.

Do we have to swap rear axels? Both trucks are 4x4 as well. I'm more worried about clutch in my truck and the wiring of tps and pedals in his. How do we go abkut that?
