Warming it up, use it when jumping another car, anytime u need a little rpm when loading the engine down, dump bed, winch,...... controll speed in 4 low while towing something across a field, the ford one wont work in drive i dont think.

Ok that is what I thought. I knew some of those but learned a few more uses too.

Ive never done the towing thing, but have wished i had it to match the speed of a tractor b4 while doing hay in other trucks.

My grandpa had a hand throttle on a model t they used as a potato truck. They would lock the hand throttle in, hop out, and walk behind it throwing the potatoes in while the truck drove itself.

I picked up a a ford unit today that has never been used. Don't have the instructions though on how to install or use it though. Can anyone input on this? My truck is a 95 5 speed.

Should be a plug in cord located center dash down below by the heater outlet, found mine tucked up behind the heater controls. 4 pin connector if I recall, snap it together, powers up automatically, then slightly depress the emergency brake and it will idle up, if your glow plugs are still on she'll idle up to around 2 grand and once the plugs go off she'll idle back to around 11, least thats what my truck does, if you touch the ebrake, regular brake, or drop it in gear on an auto it will immediately shut down the controller and resume normal idle.. Oh I got mine on Ebay 75 bucks.....

PM me your email address and I'll email you the user manual. I don't have one, but I did stumble across the user manual about a year ago online and saved it.
