I would just like to express my thanks for the information I have recieved and gathered on this forum. It truly is a great forum with very helpful members! This is my first diesel and really appreciate the information I can find here.
Today I did the 6637 filter mod and WOW, what a difference it made to how my truck runs. I think this may have been partially due to no gasket(assuming there was supposed to be one) between the 2 halfs of the air box and the crappy broken plastic bolts that didnt hold it together. The oem filter wasnt that dirty but what a difference in general driveability.
Also through this forum I have learned and performed the fuel bowl rebuild and replaced the blue fuel lines on top of the engine. I still have a fuel leak up there but thats got to be the pump. It does leak less than before! And I'll do the 3/16ths BB mod when I get rid of the leak, no point putting more pressure in the system while its leaking. I'll tackle that after the holidays.
