forgive me boys for i have sinned.....almost

almost pulled the trigger this morning on selling my OBS and my shelby on a............dodge. clean truck. lots of power. not worth the 800 a month payments.

i think i would have been regretting selling the obs. the dodge was/is nice, no rattles but really i think i like the power of the obs better. not sure why, maybe i just have a freak truck. but ive driven 2 6.0L fords, a 5.9 dodge and now a 6.7 dodge. i really dont see a HUGE difference in the power over my truck. not to justify the money any way. i can do a lot of upgrades to my truck for 50k

oh no doubt it would have been an upgrade. was a '12 3500 megacab bighorn loaded less leather and a sunroof. its no doubt a NICE rig. 76 miles to my 268k miles.

was not a fan of the epa BS that are on the new rigs. sure you can delete it all but then you loose your warranty. idk, cars for sale. IF it sells i may pick up a newer rig, but doubt it will be a "new" one. and will probably hold on to the 350

You made the right decision bud. The new dodges are nice, but debt and a monthly payment is not. Besides Obs powerstrokes rock!

There isn't much that newer trucks offer that make me want them. I like my OBS because Its not nearly as complicated as the new trucks.

Yes they are. I was shocked at the price difference between the fords and the dodges. There is a super clean 08 for sale down the street with 13k miles. But my banks don't loan on used diesel's. I think it's BS but that's how they are.

Im not sure wether to write IMO now or at the end haha.

Other then the cummins i think that whole company is garbage. When we pulled into charleston for shipyard we got two dodge trucks as rentals for the 2 months we were there. The interior was cheap, the windows were tempermental, it rode like crap and it only had 20k on it. This is my expirence. My best friend bought a 2004 ram in 2005. In less then 2 years the windows stopped going up and down. The front and rear diff blew ( he used 4wd maybe twice in the winter). The paint started melting off the car. You made the right choice. Ford has its problems, every company does but i have been consistantly unimpressed with dodge as a whole. My last expirence was helping my friend drop a fried tranny in a cummis and our other buddy put his foot through the drives side floor. Again my opinion but i would never buy a dodge even though i love the cummins.
