Manual locking hubs

I'm putting u joints in a 97 f250 at work and I went to put the lockers back in the internals came out if the one. Ordered a new set and tried putting them in but they won't go in far enough to get the lock ring in place. I pulled it out and put the old one back on with no problem at all so I know I put everything else on correctly. Anyone ever have this problem?

The hubs I bought at Warn part number 11690

Did you swap from automatic lockouts to manual? If so the nut is different. IIRC it's a 4 spline nut that you need for the manual lockouts.

It already had the manual conversion on it. I ended up calling warn and he said to take the inner snap ring and 3 washers off and it fit after that
