What made me furious is that the K&N filter had a pre drilled hole in the end of the filter. It had been sucking in un filtered air this whole time. I'll post pics up as soon as I get home. Anyway, very relieved to have gotten this new filter on. I will def get on the SoCal chapter once I'm home, also would live to get together with some of you in the area. Thanks again for the help.
yea I probably should have given you a heads up about it being a tight fit. Glad I could help

I love reg cab rigs. But my fat kid needs more room. If ford made a megacab I'd be on it

I had a reg cab for a long time. I loved it. Now that I have a CCLB, though, I don't know if I could go back.

The problem with regular cabs is that they only seat 2 to 3... I have 2 kids and a wife... Now that would be a tight squeez! With the CCLB, I have all the space I need.

I did. We changed the oil and filter to begin. (the oil change was so easy and enjoyable compared to doing my wife's chevy equinox!! nothing is easy on that POS.) Then we changed the air filter. The K&N filter had a pre drilled hole in it. I wanted to take a picture to show everyone but I left the filter in Ventura at a friends house. Directly opposite of the end that you clamp, there was a hole the size of a quarter or so. Basically the truck had been sucking unfiltered air, I am very happy I didn't run through some mud or dirt. Then we changed the fuel filter.

I did notice that my power steering cap was filled with fluid. The lid does not click closed, so when we are driving it vibrates and fluid leaks out. I have been getting about 14 to 15 MPG so that seems pretty average. I have been watching videos on people cleaning the EBP sensor, has anybody ever done this?

I have, not hard. Taking the tube out of the truck doesn't seem possible but it is. Undo the top and bottom and from the top twist counter-clockwise as you lift and tilt to the right head (passenger) comes right out. Also clean the inside of the right exhaust manifold at the tube adapter. Careful cleaning the sending unit. It has a diaphragm that will tear if you go too deep with whatever you are using to clean in there (ugh, can already imagine what the next post I going to say. . . Terry. . . the floor is yours).
