Going To Miss My 97 F350

Not a good day for me but the fella that purchased my 97 F350 was very - very pleased. He said he'd been looking a long time for a 97 F350 Reg cab 5 spd in the condition of this truck. Glad to see it go to someone that has the time and money to continue with the performance upgrades that I have started. Owned this truck for 15 plus years and I only hope my 2012 F350 will be as good of a truck as the 97 has been.

My moniker is 350ninty7 and I'll still cruise down to the OBS Forum for reading pleasure, To those OBS owners that helped with my upgrade questions both on this forum and through PM's I really appreciate the support.

Thanks, posted on CL on Saturday am and the buyer called offered cash and begged me to hold it until Tuesday 4 pm and there were two other buyers waiting inline.

Sold it for $13,000. Bought it new in July 1997 for $28,000 owned it 15 + years put 181,000 trouble free miles. Yes I know everybody wants a SC or Crew Cab and I thought it would hurt the sale being a regular cab 5 spd XLT Lariat, but I wasn't about to give it away. I would say the difference from original purchase price was pretty good. Definately not as good as my 1976 F250. 4X4. I bought the 76 new paid $6,300 sold it in 1991 with 175,000 miles for $5.500, like my 97 this truck was in excellent condition.

Wow, nice truck, can see why it would be tough to part with. Great price. I have a 1996 CC XLT with 263000. Is that a Cougar 5iver? if it is how do you like it? I'm looking seriously at purchasing one.

Thanks MoFo.
