thinking about buying a 1997 f-250 with high mileage?

Ok well my truck in my Sig is gonna be BADA$$ when it's actually done but who knows when that will be. I bought a car cash to drive in the mean time(2003 Infiniti g35 coupe with a supercharger). Fun to drive but I can't stand driving a car anymore and need a truck. I have always wanted an OBS and here in Cali 1997 and older diesels are smog exempt so I can do whatever I want to it pretty much.

I have to find it at a dealership so I can trade in my car since I used all my cash buying the car. I found a really nice 1997 f-250 4x4 swb crew cab. Its the two tone model(white with grey stripe). It has a 4" lift already on it and some 35" tires. Also has a winch bumper with a winch in it. Looks like the guy who traded it in has a banks on it. They are asking $8,900 for it. It is the XLT with power windows and locks.

The only problem Is the mileage. It has 325k miles on it. That is a ton of mileage and I don't know what all has been replaced in the motor.

Should I move on or what do you guys think. I only want a 1997 250 CC because of the shortbed. All the ones that I find have a ton of miles, usually 200k+. These things are hard to find.

No way its making those HP and tq numbers without some serious mods, and im not talkin Banks crap either. I would also be skeptical of the "rebuilt trans" & "low stall" TC.

Sent from my Galaxy S2 while my wife is yelling at me for being on my phone...
