Exhaust; Emissions
I have go get my tags this month, I have to do emissions testing... I chopped my exhaust and it's straight pipe from the cat back. I have a 1995 with a ZF5 tranny, is a cat required on this truck? Is a muffler required for emissions? I'm in Colorado. I have heard different things about a cat being on my truck. If I don't have to have it, I am definitely taking it off. Thank you!

If it came with a CAT (and all the OBS trucks did) it's required by federal law to be on there. Cheers!

I use to live in co springs, I had no cat or muffler and never had any issues, they are more worried about the newer trucks with egr and dpf systems. If your close to the springs go to exhaust readers off of Nevada ave and you won't have any issues
