Smoke at startup
When my '97 (basically stock) has been sitting for a day, it will belch out a nice cloud of whitish smoke for the first 10 - 15 seconds or so, then run clear.
If I start it several times during the day, there is no smoke. Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it "normal"? |

This usually means one or more of the glow plugs aren't working. Test the plugs and harness. A new White Rogers relay really helped my starts even with new plugs.

How do I do this?
I don't have a manual...is there a procedure written in here some where? |

Its relatively normal for these trucks to smoke on the first startup on a COLD day. |
