ts 6 position chip
I am looking to put a TS 6 position chip in my 96 f250 (manual). Goods and bads? ive been told to stay away from the edge and a few others. id like to here some advice from others. Thanks fer the help

best advise is get custom tunes from tw, php, beans, swamps etc.

my truck is all stock. so nothing really needs to be specific bc i have not done anything to this truck. what costom settinbg whould i need if its just running all stock.

Before you get a chip I would recommend doing the 6637 air filter getting a 3 inch down pipe and get gauges for boost and egt
|

Custom tunes will run circles around canned tunes, even on a completely stock truck. Good custom tuners (TW, PHP, Gearhead, Swamps, DP, etc) maximize performance while keeping things like EGT's and drive pressure in mind. Canned tunes basically throw more fuel into the equation.

i got the "canned" TS 6 position chip its not too terrible but like mentioned above its just a generic tune and is kind of sloppy my truck slips really bad in anythin over 100HP but i only use the 50 hp just tryin to get mpgs, the high idle is nice. i do wish i would have went with custom tunes and probably will in the future.
