95 psd vs 97 psd?

Ok my gpaw had a 1997 xlt powerstroke auto single Wheel and i have a 1995 1ton cab and chassis with a flat bed and I was looking on our valve covers and my sticker says like 215 hp and his says 225 hp what was the diff, I know the water pump and radatior is diffrent but what else did Ford change to claim the 225 hp or was it one of them things to boast a Lil more hp to sell more?

And sorry for all of the threads Im just getting into the DIESEL FEVER thing and Im trying to learn alot of stuff, and well Im not that great of resurcher lol and I lile talking to ppl..lol

I think there were a few differences in blocks, hpops, and a few other small things.

Blocks are more rigid, heads are beefier (maby flow a little more?), hpop has a small difference in the drain back valve i think or something like that but it doesn't flow any more oil. And tuning in the pcm may be different.

Also is your 97 a California model? They had bigger injectors

Ok, I learn somthin every day..lol, but No Im from Ohio and I think the truck was from this area as well
