Tranny Gauge Problem
I installed an autometer tranny gauge on my truck. It shows that my tranny temp is around around 215 driving around town, and cruising at 60 in the freeway it is way past the 250 the gauge shows. This is all on stock tune, not even getting on it.
Is the gauge broken or is something wrong with my tranny?

I would start with the gauge first, check all connections, if there is a ground to it, check that first...thats where I mostly find problems...bad grounds
THat sounds really high if it isn't the gauge. See if some of our transmission guys chime in on this. Good Luck!! |

I agree....check wiring. If wiring is good then call autometer and see if they can send you a new one. Those numbers are high.

I'm not sure what the problem is but I know my tranny only runs about 180 or so after it is warmed up. Your number does seem really high. Grounding of the wires seems to be a universal problem with everything electric so I would check to make sure you have a good connection before you write off that guage. Good luck,
