Where do I start?
So I have a great truck and I would like to make it better. I have a 97 F250 E4od, with K&N and the superchips downloader. Being the dumb ape I am, me want more power. Where should I start? I am thinking that everybody is gonna say exhaust or maybe get a different chip, but that is why I ask, I dont exactly know. Eventually I want the whole package, injectors, turbos, stacks, etc. But for now money is the limiting factor so little bit at a time, right? thanks for da help. Moosey

you should check out the tech files on the main forum page for 7.3 it gives alot of options. but i would say gauges, dp or ts chip, do something with the downpipe or whole exhaust. then go for the real expense and difficult stuff after that. theirs also little mods here and there u can do to make your truck better.

Thank you for the reply I guess that I should also say I have guages (EGT, Trans Temp, and Boost). I guess while I am at I have a Mag Hytec Deep Trans Pan too.

i would go with an exhaust, 4" turbo back.....that will support future "bigger" mods

just changing the stock down pipe, and bigger exhaust will get the go fast bug bitting harder. fpr shim mod, makes a noticeable difference. good luck.

Is that a K&N drop in??? If so - do the Tymar intake!! That and the exhaust will help you get ready for those other mods you listed!
Eventually you will get rid of the superchips for some custom tunes! |

Fuel Pressure Regulator -- raises the pressure from like 50ish psi to 80ish psi
![]() I think it increases throttle response -- trying to find a how too right now... |
