Weekend trip

Howdy All,
Made it to Clifton with the sheet rock without any problems (Original post dealt with weight concerns, and thanks for the replies to that post).
The only concern I have now is that my oil pressure gauge is reading high. By that I mean on the factory gauge reads NORMAL, prior to this trip the needle was always between R & M, now it is between it is sitting on the A. I know it is still in the normal range but with a truck that has 325,000 miles on it (Ok just a few miles shy of that after this trip), you start to worry about the little things like this.
The only other bad thing was my fuel pump started leaking AGAIN!!!!! But all things considered it is minor and I can replace it without much of a problem. Anyways any comments on the oil pressure would be greatly appreciated.

At 325,000 miles looks like you've got quite a bit of use out of her. I'm not sure what to tell ya but hey - that's awesome you've got that many miles.

Hey Maintain,
She has been a good truck, with just the "expected" breakdowns (water pump, fuel pump, alt's. etc.....). Hopefully this trend will continue. Wish Chip Foose or CMT's Trick my truck would come for a visit or I finally figure out the right combination of numbers for the Powerball. But still overall no complaints, I'll just count my blessings and be happy.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think our oil pressure gauges 95-96 are glorified dummy lights, the oil sender is just a switch (check out Steve Baz's page) So it may mean nothing.

Pretty sure ford hasnt had a true oil pressure gauge in 20 years!!!

I figured it had to be the gauge. If rising oil pressure were a frequent occurrence I would think I'd have run across a post or topic about it before now.
