what do yall think about exhaust for our years?

i got a 96 250 with 3 inch downpipe want to run exhaust(5 inch) but dont know what to take out or leave. I want the truck to have more of a rumble mellow sound like a flowmaster or flowtech something like that haha. I dont like the sound of the turbo whinding up (understand it will still do it) but like the whistle to be a minamum so should i delete just the muffler, just the cat or both of them? Anybody have any sound clips?

If you want to get rid of the turbo sound, use a glas pack style muffler like Wicked Flow. It will tone out the higher frequencies, leaving a deep rumble. I would go with 4" out of the downpipe to the muffler. Use a 5" tip for a deeper sound.

I tried a Wicked flow on mine a few weeks. I took the Flowmaster off and put the Wicked Flow in its place. It silenced the turbo at idle, so it came right back off. I like to hear all turbine, no engine.

cool cool thinks for the videos really gave me a idea of what to do. i like the way the straight pipe sounds but i want it to have alittle more pop in it when i accelerate would it be possible? and pipelayerjdh i will look for some glas pack muffers i remember the company cherry bomb im gonna check and see if they make anything for a 4, 5 inch pipes and wicked flow 2.

How did the wicked flow glas pack sound when u gave it some gas?
