hooking up oil press. gauge

so i ordered more gauges for my new truck and i included an oil pressure gauge, I'm guessing it has like a sender that oil pressure goes to then sends the pressure reading through voltage to the gauge, instead of it being mechanical and sending full oil pressure inside the cab, but where can i tap into to get good oil pressure? like is there a place on the filter housing or a place in the block?

on the oil filter header ther is a 1/8 pipe pluge .you can put it there .I got an adaptor and put mine in the HPOP res at the inspection plug.
