Newbie, first time FORD and diesel owner.

Just wanted to introduce myself..yes I was a diehard Chevy man...I hear the boos now. Anyways Firefooll my buddy who is a member on here introduce me to this site. He said he met some great folks and found alot of good information on here so here I am. This past Monday I took ownership of an 2000 Excursion 4x4 7.3 of course and am truely impressed with the rig. Well besides the ride but who cares about that. 90k on it and pulling great! I got tired on waiting for the diesel suburban and glad they didnt come out because this is a great truck. Sooo...new to diesels, sure I will have alot of questions want to thank anyone in advance for any tips, replies or smart butt remarks that may come my way. Hope to chat with yall soon.

Thanks my man. Love your ride...did you happen to figure out from the pictures Firefool sent ya what the heck that part under the hood was on my Excursion. It was unpluged and I found where to plug. He and I have no clue what it could be. I plugged it back up afraid to crank the joker now. ahahha I will try and find that tread he posted. Great to meet ya!

Thanks Kornfed, Thats a beatiful color on that truck. Yeah I drove 24 foot box trucks and fire trucks so jumping into this was a snap. My buddy has an 99 F-350 and we both notice that his truck could be about half to a foot longer. So if she can drive your truck without puttng and dents on the corners she should be good on the Excurs. But I will say this..this thing is a brick through the curves....Great meeting ya brother. Trying to figure out how to get some pics up...should be soon.

Thats alright one of the other members had to walk me through it, then thought it needed some spicing up so he saved it to his pc and tweeked it a bit then sent it back to me so don't feel bad.
