6.0 intake on 7.3..questions.

I have the filter sitting on my truck now, but i didnt get the front part of the filter with the big scoop and the rubber hose on there, if you sat there and thought about it, the filter might be even more efficient without if because less restriction of the front plate, will it screw anything up running a 6.0L filter like that, everything that goes through it has to pass through alot of filter to get into the turbo.

Everything that goes through it has to pass through a lot of the filter? Unless ALL of the air is passing through ALL of the filter, I wouldn't consider it a proper filter.
