C6 won't bolt up. And $400 is EXTREMELY cheap for a working E4. Generally thats just what a core would go for. So there's a good possibility that one is trashed. Also, it has to be from a 4wd diesel.
Just be prepared to be buying another one shortly though. That one may last you a while and be fine, or it may already be at the end of its life and is toast.
