Tranny cooler bypass?

My 96 is leaking tranny juice at the connection below the radiator. Is the cooling from the radiator "required" or can it by bypass and just use the top mount oem tranny cooler?

thanks.....

yes it can be bypassed, if you are in a warm climate you may want to consider adding cooling capacity or replace your stocker with a V10 cooler
