Pyrometer install
Hey guys,I just ordered my performance chip for my 97 F-350 and need to install the Pyrometer gauge,any vids on the install? or advice?

Most people install them on the drivers side exhaust manifold. Plenty of room to work from below the truck. Definitely do the manifold as opposed to after turbo.
Also, drill and tap the hole with the truck running so exhaust back-pressure can blow the shavings out instead of them dropping back into the hole and dusting your turbo on the next startup. Last edited by backwoodsboy; 02-23-2012 at 12:58 PM. |

x2 for drivers side manifold, reads way better than doing it in the down pipe. you can see it from under the truck inside of the frame rail, very easy to get a good battery powered drill in there, i used my 18volt dewalt, and those things arent agile or nimble at all, good luck
