How to connect a trickle charger
I would like to attach a trickle charger since I won't drive my new to me 97 F250 powerstroke with twin batteries. Can I just connect it to one battery or do I need to charge each battery separetly?
Thanks, Joe |

![]() welcome1:The batteries are in parallel, so it's basically one big battery. Either one is fine. |

They make a marine battery charge that can charge up to 3 batteries at the same time without disconnecting the batteries. Depending on the trickle charger you will probably fry it leaving the batteries connected. They were never designed for that load

Rather than a trickle charger, you would be much better off with a maintainer. Trickle chargers provide a constant low amp charge, while a maintainer senses the battery voltage, and provides a low amp charge when needed to restore voltage to proper levels.

When I was researching the same thing this is what I was told to use CTEK 56-353 - CTEK Power Multi US 7002 Battery Chargers - Overview - SummitRacing.com
