Two obd reader ports under dash?
So it appears that there are 2 obd, I dunno what you wanna call them, ports or plugs under the dash in my truck. One is grey and by my right knee in the pilots seat an the other is black and near the copiliots left knee...... Is this normal? If not any idea what the black on may be?

If I think what you are looking at is correct, the black one is for trailer brake controller hook-up.

The one on the passenger side is the diagnostic port and a power point for a bully dog if you have one

Whats a bully dog other then my 13 putty that don't listen to her old man anymore? And then what's the grey one on the drivers side?

A bully dog is a performance programer

Are they any good? Are they a "chip" that goes in the PCM and I'm missing the controller for it?

No theyre over priced and don't do you any good eats transmissions and doesn't go into the PCM it just flashes the computer with three tunes nothing special.
No you aren't missing anything |

You just have one OBD style port under there. It's a CAN system though.
Also, a chip plugs into the PCM, the computer. A bully dog tune is ok, but not so great. Tunes are burnt onto the chip. Custom burnt tunes are better than generic ones. |

I think that the black one in the pass side under dash its the OBD port and the grey one in the drivers side under dash its for the trailer brake controller.
