replacement dash vents for 1997 PSD

I've been shopping on ebay and find plenty of 92-96 vents available but no 1997 vents. I also find it odd that the 92-96 vent looks just like the broken one that I pulled from my 1997.
My conspiracy side tells me that this vent will work in my truck even though the seller claims its only for 92-96.

Any advice?

97 was a sketchy year. Yes a 97 fits in that category, but most parts people only go 92-96 because of the fact that ford was gearing up for the superduties so no heavy duties in the 98 model year, starting in 99.

If you are searching for parts search for a 96 part they are all the same. The only time to be concerned is if you are ordering something for your motor and you have a CALI truck, it will fit but just be careful when ordering.
