I want to replace a few things on the motor being that it is 16 years old,and one is that thing. so if I look up intake spider for 7.3 that is what I will find?

I googled intake spider for 1997 7.3 powerstroke and can't find anything ,not even E-bay has them all I keep getting is cold air intakes.

why do you need to replace it? Is it cracked? They don't go bad

Maybe try bead blasting it and repainting it. Have never heard of one failing.

repaint it new o'ring at mount to turbo along with new vband clamp and i cary vibrant tubes to replace those stock ones that leak and cant handle heavy boost over stock

The black piece that looks like a 'Y'?
Yes, it's metal. The orange boots on either end are rubber, but the intake spider itself is metal.
