Newbie looking for a diesel

Hey guys, I am a new guy to the whole diesel thing, and I am looking for a project ford Powerstroke 7.3 Powerstroke diesel, 1993-1997

NEEDS TO BE RUNNING
it doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to run. I am looking to restore and modify it, and drive it till the wheels fall off.
I would like a 4x4, not a necessity, but would be nice, I don't care about the color, cab, or transmission, it does need to be long bed though, i don't care if it's a dually. I am willing to pay anywhere from 500 to 1000 dollars. I can come and get it or meet halfway.

Your not gonna find a psd in 1993 m/y. You will find them in 1994.5, but they are only found with the turbo diesel badge and a 5spd trans. There were no autos available. 97 is the best year for these obs as they had a better block, better trans, better programming. Although any of them are really good.

good luck finding one for that price range lol, i think $3k is a smoking deal lol, even 10k is a smoking deal, if your really wanting one i know gabe is selling is, i wanna say $6500 iirc, but if your serious about one come up with 5k and keep your eyes peeled bro, kause the 500-1k your gonna buy something the wheels fell off of already lol

^^^^^^ I'm not going to say you won't find anything for $1k but I think you would have a lot better luck for around $2500 and it may still have wheels on it. You might find a IDI diesel for cheaper, the value of the obs trucks have gone up, not necessarily in the blue book but to the people that have them and then compare the prices on the superduties.

hell the people that have them and compare to what others are selling for, like that one for 30k on ebay, and those ones shane posted asking 20k kause he has 40k invested in the motor

Even my own, I bought it for $8800 almost 8 years ago and have had multiple offers for over $10k for it lately and I have no interest in selling it.

im right there with you on the offers lol, but i got mine for alot less lol, but you also have more done to yours, but i have fewer miles lol

Oh when I bought mine it was as bone stock as it could get with 250000 on it, but at the time it was the best deal I could find.

lol, last summer 274k $3k bone stock, every possible option but power mirros lol, and a busted tail light warn winch and bumper

I got a good deal on mine 2,200. Took almost a year to find it.
