I don't have autoenginuity but I've heard theres an update you need and you also need to buy that added ford package.

glow plug relay and CPS fixed it.
Still have a CEL on though. Yes I have autoenginuity and an old OBDI code reader. Can't find a plug for either. It has a OBDII plug but cannot connect to computer. How did they check the CEL in 1995. Im not paying ford to scan it. Any other suggestions? Last edited by away; 02-07-2012 at 08:37 PM. |

1995 should be obd2, if not get the dealer to flash it up to obd2 as it has the provisions. On your AE total ford enhanced, get it all hooked up, select on vehicle, communications config. then on vehicle type towards the bottom select j1850, and then non obd2 only. Try that also before you get them to flash it, may work. Regardless these trucks were heavy and require the ford total enhanced bundle.

I tried all of that with AE on the phone they said it would need the pcm flashed to the 96 program and it would work.
If that is true the customer will not take it to ford to do so. |

what about finding a pcm from a 96 and just run that?
