Just bought me an ELF7405
It is an extended duty Donaldson oil filter that is supposed to make total quart capacity 16. It also has high filtration. That sucker is huge and expensive. I could get 6 of them from Ryder Fleet for $120 or so, as they are $23 a piece through them. I just got back from my CASE Ih dealer and they special ordered this new filter $56.10. I didn't realize it was going to be this spendy and in the future I will buy from Ryder if I like it. I just didn't see the need to have 6 of something that may or not be better than what I currently have. Anyone else running it?

Personally I think the stock filter is sufficient as long as you aren't waiting forever between oil changes. I also already cringe at how much a my oil costs only needing 14 quarts.

I'm running it, very happy with it so far... but I have a ways to go before I'm due for a UOA.

I bought 3 at about $33 a piece from the local fleet place. I am going to be doing a long term oil analysis comparison. comparing stock filter to one of these both at 5000 miles and 8-10,000 miles. with Rotella T6 synthetic being the oil of choice.

Good to know. I'm gonna run Rotella 15w40 with this. Although my local sporting goods store called bi mart, had synthetic mobil 15w for $20 per gallon.
