Looks like a good buy. I am partial to what I have though, but I'd say that isn't too bad of a deal.

If you can get that for $4,800 then jump all over it. That would sell for $10,000 here in Indiana.

BTW, remove the front hub caps and check the lockouts.

Start at $4800 but be ready to meet him halfway. Body/frame are very clean for a non-southern truck; makes up for the dings and tailgate damage. Hopefully you can lose those steelies and tacky wheel covers. Original auto hubs, presumably?

$4,800 for a 7.3 with 16x,xxx? Buy it. Even for the asking price that is a damn good deal.
Private Party or dealership? Judging by the black undercoating, I'd say dealership. Make sure to check it for rust. The car lot I worked for used that pretty effectively to cover up cancer spots.

Same here. Love that look, and that's a good deal what he's offering. If he'll take a little less then nice but even if not, I'd get it.

Take a pocked magnet too. That way you can make sure you're getting metal instead of mud on the body pannels.
Has this guy given you a CarFax on the truck yet? That kind of price coming from a dealership always gives me a funny feeling.

the fender wells all look like bondo or rust bubbles coming up, be sure to check those good, aside from the pass rear on, and whats that huge dent under the pass side ext cab portion? tail gate looks pretty rough, but even at all that, the askingprice seems like a screaming deal, be sure to check the turbo, blow by test, keep your hammer on hand for rot testing, but looks to be pretty sweet overall, good find, and good luck with it
