Fuel Pressure

What should the FP be on a 96 ... Also, is there an Should I have a FP, HPOP and Oil Rail gauge?

Is there an Oil Rail Pressuer gauge like there is a Fuel Rail Pressure gauge?

Thanks Fellas.

On your HPOP/oil rail there are brass plugs you can remove them. You can make a gauge for cheaper than through vendors, by following this link...HPOP

And your fuel pressure at optimum should be between 60-70 psi

65 PSI for your fuel pressure is the best bet per Rosewood Diesel.

Your HPOP should hold about 600 PSI at idle and up to 3,500 PSI.

I would get a ScanGauge along with a fuel PSI sensor add on and you can monitor a lot more things than you will ever be able to add gauges in the truck for.

Thanks guys I appreciate it! Are there bigger oil rails that you can get? Dumb question but seems like it would be a good upgrade for more fuel to injectors. Also, took fuel bowl out and filter to install HPOP.. there was a gray liquid in the bottom of the bowl and there was like .. gravel sediment in the bottom of the metal bowl .. Is that normal?? Fuel should NOT be gray ...

Bigger oil rails - no. Bigger, dual HPOPs - yes.
The HPO rail will not get more fuel to the injectors, just inject it better.
You can, however, upgrade to a SD electric fuel system pre and post pump filters, bowl delete, and a regulated return if you felt the need to go all out.

There's tons, I'll have to do it later.
There's a lot on here about electric fuel conversions. The SD tech files have a write up for DIY fuel system.
And yes, you can run duals. Terminator has quite a few dual options.
