300-350 hp on stock trans?

just curious to see if anyone of you in this range are having and transmission issues? if not do you have any bolt on mods or aftermarket TC? can the transmission handle this as a daily driver?

I'm not in that range, but I would venture that one should at least have a larger cooler and lines, at least a 6.0L TC, and a modded valve body (like a BTS). It would be a shame to have the power and not be able to use it. Cheers!

i am making in the ball park of 340-350 now with nothing more then a shift kit and the trans is doing OK. The torque converter is pretty much shot but i dont really get on it until 4th gear and the converter locks. Its all about how you drive..if you take it easy it should last..breaking the tires loose and rawmping on it will chew a stock trans up pretty quick.

Does anyone have the BTS valve body in their truck? Is it worth the $$?

It all depends on what shape the trans is in. I beat on the truck for a couple thousand miles on a 4 year old stock re-man, before the converter blew apart and destroyed everything. Now if i had a good converter and VB it might have held decent, but i doubt it.

Your trans could be on the last leg and no matter what you add it'll let go, or it could hold just fine for a little bit. Just be prepared to shell out $3-4k at any time.

thank you guys, i think im just going to have it rebuilt because right now I THINK its the torque converter acting up or maybe the shift solenoid. i should just do the smart thing and buy a rebuild kit from ats or if bts will sell me one and have my buddy rebuild it (he builds transmissions for a living ).

i have a new hpop, new ipr and icp, good fuel pump (so far) but when i get on the truck it shudders and feels almost like its either cutting fuel or the TC is locking n unlocking....
