intake spyder for intercooler

Hey guys im in the process of getting parts for a intercooler set-up, i know everyone says you need a early 99 spyder but i can get a later one for 20 bucks so im wondering what the difference is between the early and late other then the size difference for the pelums? i work in a machine/fab shop so i could probly make it work if it clamps to the OBS turbo. If i cant make a late one work im just going to cut the OBS factory one apart and make my own.

thanks

The flange at the turbo connection is different as well on the later ones (different turbo). Cheers!
