Lund Cold Front

Ok so I got lucky and found a brand new Lund cold front, I was just wondering how to properly remove it. I have the little tool that came with it, but doesn't seem to work that well. I really don't want to break any of the pieces taking them out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Tool? Dang, I didn't know it ever had one. First truck we bought came with one, in the Lund box, but no tool. I just reach behind the grille and press the tabs and push forward, then pull it out from the outside. Skinny arms help.

BTW, we all hate you! Those things are harder to find than hen's teeth.

Ya the little tool was right in the box. All I did was google it and found it, brand new in the box, lol. Seriously though, found a place on the internet that had one in clearance, tried to order two, but only had one. I have been searching for one for a few weeks, just gotta be persistant I guess. Thanks for helping.

I found a set in Chicago on craigslist if you are interested. I didn't have time to go get them. Maybe you have time to go get them, Chicago is probably about the same distance for you as it is me. I talked to the guy and wanted the guy to ship them to me, but he didn't want to. I have a link to them if you are interested.

Well I tried to find it, just saw it a couple days ago, he must had sold it. Sorry about that, I just talked to the guy at the end of last week about it.

Reach down behind the grille and push the two tabs together. Its not ideal, but it works.

I am pretty sure my hands wouldn't fit, they are pretty big.

I guess you need a smaller hand, see attachment. Bend up a small piece of steel.

Push the top tab down, grab cold front from front of the grille, then pull up on the other tab.

You mean the inserts? Mine slide right out, just lift a corner and wiggle it
