I'm looking at a one owner 99 F-350 4X4 with 220,000 miles on the OD. What are these engines good for on average when taken reasonably good care of. This one had a new trans at 100,000 just because warranty would cover it. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. FNG
no matter what oil is used, synthetic, dyno, or blend, the service life is DIRECTLY related to how often the fluids are changed. I would expect 4-500k out of most well taken care of 7.3's.......300k minimum and ive seen some pushing a million miles (960,000 miles).....
Honestly im not convinced that ist nessesaraly something your average joe needs, but there is nothing wrong with extra filtration and better flow.....its a great idea, im just not sold on the idea that someone thats not going for huge performance can benifit a lot from it....
