Turbo dusting, and blowby as mentioned previously.
Also check the turbo boots for signs of oil.
Check for any oil/fuel in the valley of the engine (between cylinder banks).
If its a f250 with a TTB, one of the best things you can do is walk about 15ft in front of the truck, and take a look at the tires. If they're bowed outwards, just keep walking.
Ask PO for reciepts for any work done. Make sure oil changes were regular, no more than 5000 miles between. Nothing kills the HPOP on these trucks more than neglected oil.
Make sure you see the truck from a cold start. This will tell you the status of the GP and GPR, as well as possible sticky injectors. Other than that, take it for a spin. Check for pull to the left and ride, accelerating, coasting and braking. Should be about it.
