Need some info before buying!!

Hey guys, i need some info. Im lokoing at buying a 95 7.3L with 163k on it. What are some things i should look for and ask about before buying? Are there any known issues that i should address and check before buying? What are your overall thought on this engine/truck? Everyone raves about the 7.3L and how bulletproof of a engine it is! Thanks in adavance!

How much are they asking for it.
Yeah pretty much agree on the bullet proof, as long as good maintnance has been done on it

Make sure you test drive it and listen to the sounds! Just make sure everythings in place.

Take the intake tube off and look for signs of dusting, and with the engine up to temp, take the oil cap off and see how much blowby it has. If you can set the oil cap upside down over the fill hole without it blowing off, youre good to go!

Turbo dusting, and blowby as mentioned previously.
Also check the turbo boots for signs of oil.
Check for any oil/fuel in the valley of the engine (between cylinder banks).
If its a f250 with a TTB, one of the best things you can do is walk about 15ft in front of the truck, and take a look at the tires. If they're bowed outwards, just keep walking.
Ask PO for reciepts for any work done. Make sure oil changes were regular, no more than 5000 miles between. Nothing kills the HPOP on these trucks more than neglected oil.
Make sure you see the truck from a cold start. This will tell you the status of the GP and GPR, as well as possible sticky injectors. Other than that, take it for a spin. Check for pull to the left and ride, accelerating, coasting and braking. Should be about it.
