running a stack through the hood of my 96 250???

i was told that every bend in the exhaust takes off about 5 horses if i ran two 90 elbows one from the turbo over the right valve cover then turned straight 90 up((Something like that, maybe alittle more modification)) through the hood with a chrome stack mounted to the hood would that work?? seeing how the pipes so short though would my egts be higher? i like to do it just for the track i think only 6 inches out of the hood is legal here in Virginia.

It will probably run a little cooler. Not sure about the loose 5 horses at every bend. Someone else maybe able to answer that question. Never heard that though.

Yeah if anything your going to free up pony's by doing away with the restrictive downpipe on your rig.

Turbos spool better with a "long downpipe" that idea you have, will be something like one, but If I wer you I would probably use an aftermarket downpipe, about 4" an then use a straight pipe...

5HP por each bent is kind of optimistic, it also dependes on the type of the bents, is not the same a mandrel bent and the factory creepy bents...
