Fuel delivery, how to check??

Is there a way to check if your getting enough fuel or if your hpop is functioning porperly? The reason I ask is I cannot get my truck to blow smoke (mind you i know this is obnixious to some but I find it entertaining ). I have a 1997 f250 4x4 has 175,000 miles and a 5spd. The truck has a mbrp 3" dp and 4in straight pipe back, ts performance 6 pos chip(no custom tunes just the standard pre sets), and an AFE stage two intake. Also just had the fuel pump replace due to a fuel leak but its all taken care of now. I have the banks technicooler sitting in the box waiting to be put on as well. But back to the point I absolutly cannot get this truck to blow even the smallest puff of smoke which brings me to the thought im either not getting enough fuel or something along those lines. What really confuses me is im boosting 27lbs so in my mind I think I am getting enough fuel and maybe my truck is just efficiently burning all of it. But on the other hand on the highest setting of the ts chip is should be getting excessive fuel therefor causing smoke. Any help or thoughts would be great guys thanks!

First of all, if you are "blowing smoke", you are blowing HP and fuel mileage out the exhaust. "Blowing smoke" means you are not burning all the fuel that is being put into the combustion chamber.

Now, the best way to tell what your fuel PSI is with the stock fuel system is to hook up a fuel gauge to the schrader valve.

The way you tell if your HPOP is working is either hook up a HPOP gauge or a scanner tool to your truck that will read PCM data.

are trucks will not smoke much with stock sticks ( as long as your turbo and other things are working as thay should) also keep in mind blowing smoke is one of the reasons we are paying more than 3 bucks a gallon

Both my 97's smoked when tuned, my split shots barely smoke tho, you would need gauges to tell proper operation tho

ya I figured I would at least get a little bit with the ts 6 pos chip on the highest setting where I should be getting excessive fuel

Only thing I can say is get gauges for it, but hell sounds pretty efficient

I do have gauges lol I have the glow shift three pod pillar. Boost, Oil pressure, and pyrometer

Where do i hook the HPOP gauge?

Is it electric or manual? It's 2 wires on the electrical version and they go to the hpop sensor, its front center of engine on top in front of fuel bowl.
