97 f350 hesitation sort of.

I noticed this occuring prior to today, but I cleaned my fpr and it went away. Well today I hit the brakes during stop and go traffic and then it kind of bogged/hesistated and skipped for a bit. Coming home about 60-70 it would occasionally feel like it hit a wall and then all of a sudden it would run like a raped ape. The CPS has been replaced from dealer pretty recently. I was thinking that the TPS could be suspect. any ideas? It is a 5spd 4x4.

Interesting. I've got in unplugged. Prior to doing that in the mornings it would certainly be like an exhaust brake with it cold. This is different it almost feels like a fuel delivery issue. I've got no smoke except for startup and then it feels like it hits a wall suddenly and then more or less pedal it seems to do ok. I anticipate that it is an issue with the TPS, as I don't believe it does it while on cruise, but I can't recall for certain.

I've not pulled any harnesses or anything. I didn't see a need too, presently. I was hoping to wait until early summer or so when I could buy injectors, glowplugs, harness, gaskets, etc. and do it all in one big shot.

I filled up today and used damn near all the fuel in my truck. I went 445 miles on the tanks, which equated to 15.38 mpgs. Mostly all highway, but I am still pretty happy with that. On an aside I got nearly 30 gallons of diesel for $3.29 a gallon.
