Good converter(Racer X or PI), and a full shift kit with pump mods should hold up fairly well to something like stage 2's.

What do you mean by full shift kit more then a valve body and what kind of pump mods?

ALL you need for a sturdy e4od is a good vb, tc, and cooler. If you want to REALLY beef up your trans, which you should never need this, but steel gears.
I have a local diesel-tranny shop thats really good, who will pull my trans, modify my vb or install an aftermarket one, install a steel TC (billet is better, but steel is plenty good..), and install steel gears for $2200. Dropping the steel gears brings my total to $1700. Not bad if you ask me! Then get custom tuning for said-mods. |

Ask a local diesel trans shop if they can hook you up for a good price. Otherwise a vb, go with banks, or have a GOOD diesel trans shop custom port it.. For a tc, go with a 6.0 tc, or see if the shop can hook you up. Racer X makes some damn good powerstroke trans stuff too, such as the vb or tc.
